Meet our team - Lauren, Production Assistant

Lauren is one of our production assistant's who joined us at the beginning of 2020. She creates your orders from picking and decorating all the way to packaging and making sure it's sent. Have you seen her sticker with one of your packages?

What and where did you study?

I studied Fashion Design at the University of Gloucestershire where I graduated with a First Class honours degree.

How did you get into this job?

In a recent job I learnt the basics of how to embroider. I knew that Goose and Gander use embroidery to design the majority of their garments and I was lucky enough to get the job on the embroidery section of the production team.

What advice would you give someone who wants to work in Fashion Design?

Take any opportunity you can especially work experience if anything that’s most important.

What does your job entail?

When I joined G&G at the start of the year I was part of the embroidery team. Most recently we have all been trained to fulfill an order from start to finish, therefore I receive an order, decorate it (embroidery/print/vinyl), quality control and package/send your order. If you receive an order with my sticker on it was all done by me :)

What drew you to G&G originally?

I was drawn to the company because I knew they were based in the UK and are a made to order brand. I think that’s definitely an advantage knowing that your garments are made personally for you.

What are your 3 favourite garms from G&G?

Lauren in her fav place

The last book she read

What's your favourite food?

Anything Italian (but more specifically garlic bread)!!

What was the last book your read?

Blood Orange, I had a kindle for my birthday recently as I wanted to get into reading a lot more, this book had me hooked I highly recommend it if you like fast paced thrillers.

You could be anywhere in the world right now, where would it be?

New York City, I am obsessed with it, I’ve been twice, most recently in November and I am so ready to go back! It has a special place in my heart.
