Meet our team - Roxy, Production Manager

Roxy is our Production Manager. She makes sure production is running as smooth as possible and gets stuck in with her team! You'll always see Roxy in a banging pair of Dr. Marten boots as she's a little obsessed.

What and where did you study?

In secondary school I studied A-Level Sociology, Psychology and Textiles. My best grades were always achieved in Textiles. I spent a lot of my free periods and lunch times working on my textiles projects which I loved! I started a Fashion Design course at Birmingham City Uni in 2013 but I decided it just wasn't for me. I have no regrets and I am so grateful to be doing a job that I love now.

What was your dream job growing up?

As a young girl, my dream job was to be a fashion designer. I would sit for hours drawing figures and different outfits. I was torn between mental health nursing and fashion design when it came to applying for uni.

How has G&G helped you in your career development?

G&G has given me so much support and helped me build my confidence - both personally and within my role as Production Manager.

My first role was labelling plain clothing before moving onto DTG printing, vinyl and then sewing ribbons. Who would have thought that I would be here now? After walking into their little shop for an Xmas temp trial shift in 2018, to now.

Before working at G&G, what was the most unusual job you had?

Assembling and testing air rifles.

What 3 words to describe G&G?

Colourful, creative and adaptable.

What are your 3 favourite garms from G&G?

What's your favourite food?

Roxy's cutie cat Indie

Do you have any pets?

I have a cat called Indie, who I adore... And a kitten coming in a few weeks!

What's your favourite ever film?

I have to choose 2.. The Orphanage and Pans Labyrinth. Both are Spanish and produced/directed by Guillermo del Toro. So good!
