Badly fitting and aggressively bobbly

Bought these in store as an impulse holiday buy. Fair enough I didn’t try them on in store and that’s on me but I’d gotten an XL just in case and hoped. In all the display photos they look to sit fairly normally on the waist but trying them on the crotch seam sits so far back that it looks unnatural, the seam is also so bulky due to the fabric that if your thighs meet in the slightest you feel like you have to waddle slightly. After literally only trying them on for 10 minutes the inner thighs of the trousers started to bobble. I returned them the next day.
(Also really not a fan of HAVING to give over my email for a receipt and then receiving marketing emails every three days.)
